Artisan Vazir Kotwalia meets President Droupadi Murumu

Artisan Vazir Kotwalia, who hails from the Kotwalia community of Gujarat had the honour of meeting India’s President Droupadi Murumu on June 12, 2023. She interacted with the members of 75 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) from various parts of the country at Rashtrapati Bhavan, of which Vazir was a part. The Kotwalia community in Hathakhuni village (Bharuch, Gujarat) practice the age-old bamboo craft. To revive this beautiful art and support the artisans, the Adani Foundation formed and supported a self-help group (SHG) – Jaidev Mogramaa Group Hathakundi, which Vazir leads.
